The JLCW is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We open our doors to women of central and northern Westchester who want to become involved in an organization that makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of local children and individuals. We provide opportunities for personal growth, training, leadership and lifelong friendship.

The Junior League of Central Westchester is proud of that historic reputation, but as society changes, we adapt and evolve. We strive to put our values to work in modern ways, serving as a powerful voice for action throughout Westchester. Community needs often stem from economic insecurity. JLCW works on a number of projects to address both underlying conditions which lead to economic insecurity, such as childhood literacy, while addressing women’s needs in the moment by providing resources like diapers and clothing to those in need. We have successfully lobbied lawmakers to help families by removing local sales taxes charged on diapers.  Westchester women lead this important initiative. Will you be one of them? 

 Become a Driving Force of Change Within Your Community 

We accept new members on a rolling basis, with two “classes” of new members being admitted in Fall and Spring. When new members apply, they are invited to join in on training that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the JLCW.
